Chevening Scholarships 2026-27: UK Government Fully-Funded Awards for Future Global Leaders

Chevening is the UK Government's international award programme that makes awards to outstanding individuals with leadership potential. Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations, Chevening scholars study for a one-year Master's degree at any UK university.

What Is Covered

Chevening scholarships cover: tuition fees in full; a monthly stipend; travel costs to and from the UK; an arrival allowance; and the cost of one visa application.

Who Can Apply

Citizens of a Chevening-eligible country with at least two years of work experience and an undergraduate degree enabling entry into a UK postgraduate programme are eligible. 170 countries and territories qualify.

Application Timeline

Applications for 2026-27 typically open in August 2026 and close in November 2026. Final selections are announced in June 2027.
