Our Corrections Policy
Youth News Corporation is committed to correcting errors as quickly as possible after they are identified. Accuracy is a core editorial value, and the willingness to correct mistakes publicly is part of how we maintain reader trust.
How We Handle Corrections
- Minor factual errors (incorrect dates, names, statistics) are corrected directly in the article text with a correction note appended at the bottom of the article stating what was changed and when.
- Significant errors that affected the substance of the article are corrected with a prominent editor's note at the top of the article, in addition to the correction at the bottom.
- Errors of omission (where a missing fact changed the meaning of a piece) are handled with an addendum clearly labelled as such.
- We do not silently delete or alter articles after publication without a correction notice.
- In rare cases where an article must be removed (for legal reasons or because it is substantially wrong in ways that cannot be corrected), we publish a note explaining that it has been removed and why.
How to Report an Error
If you have identified an error in any YNC article, please contact us at info@yncnetwork.com with:
- The title and URL of the article
- A clear description of what you believe is incorrect
- If possible, a source or evidence supporting the correct information
We aim to review all correction requests within 48 hours. If a correction is warranted, we will implement it and notify you.
