Our Corrections Policy
YNC corrects errors promptly, transparently, and without concealment. We believe accountability to our readers is as important as accountability from the institutions we cover.
What Constitutes a Correction
A correction is issued when a published article contains a factual inaccuracy — a wrong date, incorrect statistic, misidentified person, or false claim presented as fact. Corrections are appended to the original article with a datestamp and a clear statement of what was wrong and what the correct information is.
What We Do Not Do
We do not silently edit published articles to remove factual claims. We do not delete articles to avoid accountability. We do not issue corrections under pressure from subjects of coverage if we believe the original reporting was accurate.
How to Request a Correction
Contact corrections@yncnetwork.com with the article URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and supporting evidence. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
